Personal Branding -- Are you packaged for success? What does your brand say about you? This workshop will aid participants in discovering and unleashing their personal brand for maximum exposure in the marketplace and personal fulfillment.
About the Facilitator: Mellanie Kai Lassiter has a progressive track record with over 15 years experience in philanthropic and nonprofit positions in the Greater Philadelphia area. Her success in building relationships, program development and working effectively with corporate and civic leaders has catapulted her to a leader in corporate social responsibility initiatives.
As Corporate Contributions Manager for PECO Energy Company in Philadelphia, Lassiter manages corporate contributions and corporate citizenship programs for PECO including grants, related benefits and employee participation in community events throughout Philadelphia and the surrounding counties. Prior to her employment at PECO, she served in similar capacities for ING Bank and Fannie Mae Foundation among others.
Lassiter serves on the boards of the Urban League of Philadelphia, Art Sanctuary and Delaware Valley Grantmakers in addition to serving on the Steering Committee of ArtsRising, and a member of the Philadelphia Chapter of the Links, Inc. She holds an undergraduate degree from Spelman College and a Masters Degree in Training and Organization Development from St. Joseph’s University.
Recognized for exceptional community service and civic engagement by many organizations, Mellanie was identified as one of “10 People Under 40 to Watch in 2009” by the Philadelphia Tribune Magazine. Among other honors, she was most recently honored as the “2010 Urban Leader Under 40” by the Urban League of Philadelphia and as a Trailblazer by Pathways PA. Beyond her professional experience, Mellanie enjoys choir directing, singing and reading. She also loves tasting a wide variety of fine foods and considers herself an amateur food critic.
