Trump International Hotel & Tower Chicago’s Director of Catering, Monika Lotter oversees all of the functions that will take place in Trump’s breathtaking event spaces.
After receiving her undergraduate degree in international business and marketing at the University of Colorado in Boulder; she eventually moved back to her hometown of Chicago to launch DQS, a company based in Frankfurt, Germany, in the U.S, in 1996. Lotter went on to plan some of Chicago’s most glamorous weddings, she moved on and began to work with Levy Restaurants organizing events at The Ravinia Festival and the Private Dining Rooms of Spiaggia. She next moved to Navy Pier and handled seated events for up to 1,500 people.
A career turn as a caterer saw Lotter working events that ranged from city-wide to private affairs. During this time, she also earned her MBA in general business administration from the Lake Forest School of Management, after which she became the catering sales manager at The Peninsula Hotel in Chicago. She spent more than three years there before accepting a position at the Hard Rock Hotel Chicago as director of catering.
Most of Lotter’s events will be held on the sixteenth and seventeenth fl oors of the Trump International Hotel & Tower Chicago, where one can take in views of all parts of the city—the Wrigley Building, the Hancock Center, the Chicago River and Lake Michigan. |
